A week with Emily and Kaitlin

We had the girls for a week, just getting some practice in before our little one is here. Wanted to share some pics we took.

Christmas Tree!

We put up our Christmas tree. Emily and Kaitlin helped, okay well Kaitlin watched but we had fun doing it. It looks a lot smaller in the new house because of the cathedral ceiling, might have to upgrade next year.

Happy Birthday Matt and Michael!

Dan and I went to Lost In Fun, for Matt and Michael's birthday party. What a crazy place with all the kids running around. All the kids looked like they were having a blast.

24 weeks

We are at 24 weeks. I had my gestational diabetes and anemia test this week. Came back normal, no watching the carbohydrates. Yeah! Went in for another follow-up with the specialist, everything looks good. Baby is coming in on schedule, estimated weight is 1 lb 11 oz. Still sitting breech. I attached a cute profile of the baby below.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Dan and I went back to Central City for Thanksgiving. Good time! Played some pitch with my Grandpa, it has been a while but I picked it back up and Grandpa and I won 2 of 3 games, Yeah! Mom made an excellent meal, we were soooo stuffed.

Mom, Dad and I braved the Blackfriday crowds for shopping. We got to Grand Island about 5:30 am. Mom missed a couple of the things she wanted but I got some pretty good deals. Mom and Dad got us a crib for the Baby for Christmas! Thanks so much! I also picked up the dresser/changer that matches, definitely a deal at Kmart!

We saw Alan (Dan's brother), Rachel and the Kids on Saturday. That was a nice visit, hadn't seen them since they moved to Oklahoma.

WE'RE HAVING A BOY!

Had an ultrasound today. It's a Boy! Estimated weight of the baby is 1 pound 3 ounces, normal for 22 weeks. Heart rate still at 158. First questions out of everyone's mouth now is do we have a name picked out yet? Nope we will work on it and keep you posted.

Busy Weekend

Hi everyone. We had a busy weekend. My friend Julie gave us 4 football tickets to the Kansas vs Huskers game. Dan took my nephew Blaine and two cousins Jared and Jordan to the game. They had a blast! Huskers won too which is good. Mom brought Nevaeh up so we played during the day.

Emily and Kaitlin came over about one that day and stayed the night. We had a fun day!

19 weeks

Well we had an appointment with the Dr. this morning. The baby was not cooperating during the ultrasound (legs were crossed) so we did not find out what we were having . Some updated stats from this morning baby is estimated at 11 ounces and the heartbeat was 160. The doc said everything looks good. I've attached an updated picture. Our next ultrasound is currently scheduled for Dec. 4th maybe we will have more luck then.

Football

I went to my nephew Blaine's football game a couple of weekends ago. They won! Blaine did some nice tackling. He looks like such a tough guy in his uniform. Love you Blaine.

I had also gone home that weekend to see mom because she had broken her wrist and cracked a rib earlier in the week and had surgery on Friday. She is doing better now she had a plate and pins and screws put into her wrist. OUCH!

My test results from the test for the amino acid homocysteine came back good, the results were low so now I just need to keep taking my Folbee plus and baby aspirin instead of getting a shot every day. Baby and I are doing good. Last doctors appointment the baby's heartbeat was 158.

Baby on Board

Yeah! We got a positive pregnancy test!! Been feeling good no morning sickness. We have had a couple of ultrasounds (10 week photo attached). Due Date is March, 23 2009. I've had to go to a specialist due to having a blood clotting disorder (MTHFR). I am currently on Folbee Plus (extra folic acid and B vitamins) and a Baby Aspirin. Had my blood drawn this week to test for the amino acid homocysteine, hopefully the level is low and then I won't need to do further treatments for the MTHFR like injections of an anticoagulant.

I've gotten some of my energy back. Boy, you don't know how tired a pregnant lady is during her first trimester until you've been there.

We met on Match.com, went to the movie "Departed" for our first date on Oct 27th, 2006. Fell in love and got married on March 8th, 2008.
