Thanksgiving

Dan, Tys and I went to Central City on Thanksgiving. Spent some quality time with my mom and dad, aunt Tina, uncle Greg, Heather, John, Chels, Megan and Ben. That Saturday we had Dan's side of the family over to our house for Thanksgiving get together. We had family pictures taken that night. It went very late so some of the kids mainly Tyson and Kait were not all that smilely in the pictures but we were all together and that is wat counts.

We have found a new song that Tyson loves. Row, Row, Row Your Boat.

Wanted to share this pic too. He now has Three teeth on the bottom and keeps his lower lip tucked in a lot just feeling them out.

He has to be teething

Slober, Slober Slober and then some. Chews on anything. Tyson's sleeping schedule changed this last week. Cries more when he wakes up in the middle of the night. Last night I think he was awake more than asleep. We are letting him cry it out for a while and sometimes he will fall asleep others he continues to cry. Using Motrin. Suggestions are welcome.

6 mo Check up

Forgot to mention in the last post that Tyson had his 6 month check up, 19 lb 4 oz, 27 3/4 inches long.

Yummy Toes!

Busy last couple of weekends

Tyson and I went back to Central City on the 20th to watch Blaine's football game. Hadn't been home in a while it was good to see everyone. My Aunt Tina, Uncle Greg and the kids came down too. Saw some great tackles.

We got family pictures taken with my family this past weekend. And Tyson's 6 month pictures, wow how he has changed from his 3 month picture. Lots more hair and the dimple is more defined.

At Alea's

Tyson spent Thursday and Friday at Alea's for daycare. Thursday morning was a little rough starting, he finally went poo and then all smiles. Friday he had a great time. Alea said the kids loved him.
Yummy food!

Tyson Laughing

Tys rolled over from back to tummy this morning for the first time. Wouldn't do it again so I couldn't catch it on tape. I did get him laughing though and wanted to share. Of course this is nothing uncommon. He laughs a lot!

Tyson's first illness

The weekend of August 8th Tyson and I both had the flu. Tyson threw up twice, I threw up uncountable times. Dan had to take care of Tyson because I was in no shape to help. This weekend starting Friday night, Tys started not sleeping normal and then running a slight fever. Took him to the Dr. on Monday (weight 18 lb 4 oz) and noticed that he also had a pin point rash. Doctor said that he had some type of virus and that we needed to do what we could to get him to drink his bottle. We have been using a syringe to get his mouth wet with formula, then he usually will take the bottle after a syringe or two. So the last two weeks have not been the most fun, hopefully this will hold us over for a while. Tys seems to be doing a lot better today and will be going back to daycare tomorrow.

Rolling from Tummy to Back

Tyson is sparadically rolling from his Tummy to his back. Dan saw it happen a week or so ago and then Candace (babysitter) saw it happen. I finally saw him do it last night so I can now write about it. I think it surprises him a little when it happens :0) He is growing so fast!

Tyson 3 and a half months old

Well Tyson is becoming more and more interested in things around him. He now plays with the gym that we got him and the elephant that hangs from his car seat handle. So much fun watching him learn new things.

3 months old

We had family pictures taken and Tyson's 3 mo pictures taken this weekend. It was hard choosing which poses to purchase he was so smiley. We timed it just right because as soon as we were done taking pictures he got a little crabby.

Talking

Tyson was talking to me this morning. Just wanted to share.

We survived our first week.

Tyson survived his first week at daycare and I survived being back at work. He is getting used to being at daycare and taking naps.
We had his 2 month appointment on Thursday. He weighed 15 lb 5 oz, (slightly greater than the 97%) and was 24 1/4 inches long (90%). He got 3 shots, and did pretty good, cried for a little while until I was able to pick him up and give him his binky. He is growing so fast.

Tyson's first day at daycare.

Today was Tyson's first day at daycare. He goes to a home daycare here in Waverly. Candace said that it might take him a little time to get used to the noise of the other kids for him to sleep through it. He was there for a half day as I only have to work half days this week. He only slept for about 20 minutes in the morning and then had slept for about 30 minutes when I came to pick him up. He took a really good nap for me when we got home.

Tyson has been getting really fussy, crying from about 6:30 pm to about 8 pm. I'm thinking he has developed a late case of colic. We tried some "Gripe Water" last night and tonight and it seems to be helping. Thanks Amy for mentioning this a while back when your sister had to use it.

My half day at work was not too bad. Yesterday was harder on me just preparing to go then today was. I believe Tyson grew while I was at work ;o)

Chubby legs

I just couldn't help but share this picture. Check out the chubby legs. Tyson is eating like a hungry bear after hibernation. I weighed him on the scale and I think he is in the 14 pound range. We have his 2 mo appointment next week so will get all the measurements.

Check out our new ride.

Dan and I had our first time away from Tyson together today when we went car shopping. Dan's CRV was a little too small to fit the car seat plus have someone in the passenger seat so we ended up trading it in. We got a 2007 Chevy Tahoe :0) Thanks Pam for watching Tyson while we went out.

5 weeks old.

We went to Central City for Easter last weekend. It was Tyson's first longer trip. It was a good to visit with family. Can't believe Tyson is 5 weeks old already. We have had a busy week, held a Signature Homestyles party on Thursday. Went and got Tyson's pictures taken on Saturday and went to church on Sunday morning with Tyson for the first time.

I've attached a cute picture of Tyson in a T-shirt my sister gave him. Daddy knows alot but Mommy knows everything.

HAPPY EASTER!

Wishing everyone a happy easter.

Wednesday, April 1, 2009

Tyson had his 2 week check up last Friday. He now weighs 9 lb 6 oz, is 21 inches long.

Tyson and I ventured out to Walmart on Monday, he was very good. At first he didn't like being strapped into his carseat but once I got driving he was out and stayed that way all through the Walmart shopping trip.

Mom came down on Monday afternoon and stayed overnight. She took the first two shifts at night, just want to say Thank You. We also got more stuff hung up on the walls while she was here.
Tyson is staying awake a little more at a time now. He had a big stretch of staying awake on Tuesday, 9:30 am until noon, I think he was waiting for Becky to come see him. Becky brought Runza over for lunch on Tuesday, we finally exchanged our christmas presents, mine is up on the wall already. :0)

Dan's parents are coming down tonight to see us on Thursday. We went out to eat at Honey Creek here in town. Thanks for buying us supper.

I went and visited a new member of the family today. Courtney had a little girl and they are currently in the NICU, Ali is her name. Isn't she precious, so tiny compared to Tyson.

Things are going pretty good.

Dan went back to work this week and so we needed to get used to a little different schedule, it is going pretty good.
I had a doctors appointment to check my blood pressure it was still high so they wanted me to buy a blood pressure cuff to check it at home for a while. It is better at home and therefore don't need to take any meds right now, still need to monitor it.
Tyson is sleeping pretty good 2 1/2 hours at night at a time. He is eating like crazy, where most feedings he will consume 3 oz bottles, sometimes he needs a little more to put him over the edge.

Bath Time

We had our first bath at home. Tyson loves to have his hair washed, the rest of the body is another thing.
